Thoroughly enjoy this remake..which I don’t say about many remakes. The storyline was a bit different from what I grew up with but the message and scenes are absolutely beautiful. I truly appreciate the fact that this film shines light on a woman’s ability to stand on her own as opposed to the dream and anxiousness of being swept off her feet and saved by someone else. This film amplifies how true happiness comes from within; this Cinderella amplifies a power within you to keep going and not sit still based on what has distraught you-unlike the other Cinderella movies as I’m realizing. Cinderella movies overtime have shown what women are ‘capable of’. This a beautiful, breathtaking, exquisite view of what a woman’s fairytale truly and actually is. Extremely well done.
