Wow. Reading the movie critic's comments and ratings of the movies I watched over the last 3 months (that is probably 50 plus movies), I am seriously worried. I love watching movies. Different genres, different styles. No matter. I own over 400 of movies I really enjoyed and I have watched all of them 3 times or more. I am no expert critic but I have a really good idea what makes a movie good. Putting aside personal preference, let us look at Angel has fallen. 3 movies in Mike Banning is still kicking a** for his country. We have followed Rambo through jungles, deserts and Mexico. We have been through the past, the present and the future with the Terminator. We have sat through remakes of classics galore. From Aladin, Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King to Charlie's Angel, Jacob's Ladder and Tomb Raider. So few new franchises that are growing and improving. The Fallen movies are good old fashioned action hero movies. We are all intrigued and excited by the President' s nr1 guy. Yes the storyline is not deep and complex. But aren't we looking to sit and watch an action movie for the hero kicking a**? If you want a deep and complex story, go see a thriller of a drama. Right? We have our favourite Avengers. We have our favourite Game of Thrones monarch. Who is your favourite Secret Service Agent? Mike Banning is top of my list...
