Good movie with some good performances but a bit lengthy. Background music was a highlight. Climax could have been trimmed a bit. The middle portions of the movie was entertaining with good humour.

An above average commercial entertainer from Lokesh Kanakaraj. Expected a bit more from him in terms of story depth and screenplay. Lot of ideas and sequences which could have connected but fell flat. Loved Rajini in this movie. He looked and has performed best in recent times. Soubin and Nagarjuna did their best of what was asked from them. Upendra was underutilized and Aamir Khan cameo was a waste. Movie could have ended 15 minutes earlier and would have stayed the same. Flashback portion and Rajini deaging was great. Because the emotional connect was missing everything felt flat. A decent movie which could have been way better.

One of the worst movies ever. I have seen a lot of big star movies with no logic but this one beats them all. No sign of any proper screenplay. Felt like watch patched up reels of Ajith from previous movies. All the scenes are just about hero worship but nothing on screen. Music director was not needed as there were only old songs placed. Total waste. I am glad I didn't watch it on theatres. Watching in OTT itself made me think I wasted 3 hours of my life. Fans encouraging these type of movies will only make the big heroes to do such kind of films more which is not good for tamil cinema.

Watched black movie which was an unknown because of the release of vettaiyan. But surprisingly the movie has come out ver well and after a long time Jeeva has done a movie with good content and screenplay. Screenplay was well written for the most part as this is a very complex storyline and could have gone all wrong easily. A lot of scientific reasons are given in the movie and except the parallel reality concept all were misguiding and not needed. This I knew after looking on those topics. Two songs are there but not that catchy. Background score was good and went with the flow of the movie. Editing deserves special mention as the movie flowed without confusing is too much. Overall a good sci fi thriller which could be surely watched once.

A great tribute to Major Mukund. Rajkumar Periasamy has balanced both the personal and army life of Major Mukund and both sides have worked really well. Sivakarthikeyan has given his career best performance as an army person. Sai pallavi steals the show as Indhu and is having a strong presence throughout the movie. All the other characters are supporting only but all the actors have done their parts well. Music by GV Prakash is a big plus and both the songs and bgm has worked out really well on screen. Camera, editing, art department all have done their jobs well. Go to theatres and watch this biography of a great tamil army man and it will leave you in tears at the end.

Firstly the thing I liked about this movie is after a long time a big star movie has come out with some decent content. This is a content oriented film with Rajinikanth in it. First half was good with the investigation portions keeping us engaged. The second half was good to a certain extent but the climax was predictable and could have been thought through. Last 30 minutes of the movie was a bit of a let down trying to finish the movie in a commercial way and it did not gel well. Fawad fasil, Rajini, Dhashara and Rithika Singh did their roles well. Overall the content of the film was very good but the director did not manage the commercial elements and content well especially in the second half making it an above average watch.

A real life incident taken as close to reality as possible. All the actors were exceptional. The movie is mainly all about the climax. Great direction by Maari Selvaraj and he has got out the maximum he can extract from all the actors. The difficulties faced by many families to make a living everyday is portrayed well in this movie. How the rich exploit the poor and don't give them the wages for hard work is shown well. The only drawback I could say is the movie could have been a bit trimmer and the portions involving the teacher could have been cut a bit as in the second half it seemed a bit overdone. Other than that a close to reality hard hitting movie which says the hardship of daily wage workers in banana farms.

Raayan is an all action entertainer in which action scenes are overdone in the second half and make us wait for the film to end. First half was decent as there seemed to be some direction in which the film was heading and there was comedy, sentiment and some action inbetween. The interval block was decent and had good scope for a decent second half. But second half just took a downturn and it was just all about killing. The revenge part was not well written and the need for the villain to kill the hero was not convincing enough. Also not sure which time period the film belongs. So many killings happen just like that. No police no media. Life goes on as it is. AR Rahman's music was a treat as his music did not overpower the scenes and songs were also decent enough. All actors did their part well. Had there been a bit more focus on writing and screenplay in the second half this would have been a good film overall.

Blue star is an out and out cricket drama. Kudos to the director for making this movie as realistic as possible. Music is a big positive and the background score elevates a lot of scenes. Ashok selvan is brilliant and santhanu does justice to his role. A few more roles impress like keerthi pandian and bukz. One disappointment I had was the second half tug off between professionals and the local team was very generic and the professionals were potrayed as some kind of very bad people which generally is not the case. The system is the problem and not the players. First half was really good and the second half could have been trimmed a bit. Overall a very good cricket drama with a very local flavour.

The much hyped Leo movie falls flat to be honest. Even though the first half was a bit slow Vijay's Parthiban character was built up well and it was really above average. The entire second half just disappoints beginning from the flashback where the content was so unconvincing. The car chase was poorly vfxed. Post that it was a normal hero centric story where the hero just keeps beating 100s of villain people without getting hurt. Very disappointed with the writing and screenplay in the second half. No imagination. Vijay holds the movie but none of the other characters have depth in writing. Overall a major disappointment. Two stars is for the decent first half.
