Thought provoking, interesting, and bloody disgusting! -First thing: very much adult content so do not bring your kids. Very satisfied with this movie! Did not expect much and generally look down on modern re-adaptation or retranslation of those types of fairytales. Even with a horror twist I didn't think this would be much but it was in fact pretty great. It does in most instance stay faithful to the story of Cinderella but deviates in the most absurd and incredibly inventive ways. This movie for one is totally a vibe! it's pretty unique and artsy but not in an overbearing way, just enough. I won't say much more except gore hounds will love this, not the the faint of heart. I even liked that they turned the genre on it's head enough to be gratuitous with the sexual content as a way to be really twisted. If you're a body horror fan etc do not hesitate you won't regret it. Is a good companion piece to the movie The Substance from last year, even if they are drastically different in many ways they have a sort of common through line.

Has outdone any possible expectation I had..... House of the Dragon, to me, thus far is like GOT on crack! It focuses on the best parts and heyday of what GOT was-medieval Political intrigues and family feuds focused around murky moral intrigue... So far the appeal of this show seeing Westeros in a different period is refreshing and enthralling, the writing is extremely competent and mature, you can see great care put into it's characters, and Rhaenyra particularly strikes a sure success and true female empowerment to stand behind and admire ... It is also more accessible to the wide audience than GOT and less complicated to piece together. And as a fan of GOT.....Well we are about to witness 'The Dance of Dragons' the Targaryen war of succession- Targaryens at the hight of their power in a war of succession, full grown Dragons, what else could we ask for... The future is bright for House of the Dragon, it has IMMENSE potential that fans may have never expected and I for one am conquered!

I really wanted to like this...But Nope for me is a big NOPE! (NON SPOILER) Is it a scary movie-Not really....Is it a drama-not really....Is it an adventure movie somewhat but not really....Is it social commentary that is too vague to be understood properly but gives a simple and blend plot an air of complexity that the movie doesn't have...Yes that it does... There are pros were the cinematography and acting are concerned--- For anybody that loved Get out and Us and expects something similar you will not find the same thing. Peele does the dreadful sin of sprinkling a lot of meanings everywhere without explaining anything and leaving it at that....Some may say the audience is just too dumb to understand..But having analyzed and plausibly understood it the finale verdict is if a significant portion of your audience fails to grasp the main point of your movie, it becomes a movie problem.....Metaphor and symbolism are not enough to drive a plot but need to complement it...The movie fails in that regard and offers nothing satisfying in terms of story, dialogue or concrete action

A mature and realistic character driven film about trauma and toxic cult living. While I have not seen how this movie was marketed and while I do definitely think this falls under the category of movie about 'Cults', one does need to manage his expectation about what type of movie this is. It does not fit the Hollywoodized stereotypes we associate with cults of witchery and bumps in the night and thrilling creepy sequences etc. In truth this is a much calmer and more real study of trauma that results from living in a Cult setting. This movie is about how a toxic lifestyle in what looks like the most real depiction of what a real life modern Cult would look like and how it can ruin your life almost implicitly. And it's also about people's incapacity to accept, receive and also give help after suffering trauma and the lack of other's understanding or empathizing with people suffering of PTSD. This is not a very eventful or otherwise exciting film so don't look for that, I see people's non enjoyment mainly based on the lack of 'Things Happening' and it's was never the aim of this film as far as I can tell, it is not plot driven. It is slow and meditative by design... It is however a deeply thoughtful and mature well directed film with an amazing script and dialogue, reactions, emotions that look all too real. And at the center of it all Elizabet Olsen by god! An amazing performance, not surprised this is her breakthrough role, subtle, raw and honest and real, a fragility that makes you truly believe her and empathize. So once again, look at it as a look at human emotions and psychological behaviors or else if you're looking for a good ole time, it may not be for you, it remains nonetheless to it's own credit a great movie to my mind.

Is a masterpiece for which you must be informed of what you are going to go see at the movies. This is not an accessible fun time adventure Viking movie and you have to manage your expectations of what are going to watch otherwise marketing may disappoint you this movie admittedly is not going to be for everyone...., this movie is like taking a time machine and living in that period of time. It's a movie that is brutal not only in it's content but the way it portrays a world that is truly rough, and brutish and alien to our own culture and where characters are(understandably so) not as relatable as what we are used to see, and that have a strong belief in fate and various spiritual aspirations which are hard for us to comprehend and reconcile, and people living in a time period in which life is fragile, fleeting, short and cheap, but characters who are gritty and real, because this movie is not glamorizing anything whatsoever regarding war or viking culture. It is honest and uncompromising! Put this aside this is an epic tale that I encourage you to watch because of it's world building, it's art and the passion that is clearly gone into making this. It's not a simple movie it's a film! And it's very much art unlike what a lot of other things we are seeing nowadays, visually stunning, simple in concept but striking and memorable in it's execution, and very personal stylized and unique...The performances and acting are taken very seriously and are anything but cheesy or ridiculous.... A true return to what a realistic gritty epic adventure as opposed to a 'Hollywood-ized' blockbuster truly is. Robert Eggers's third movie, scoring a 3 out of 3 hits with this, you may need a bit of time to digest and appreciate it but if you like film, you won't be disappointed as some of the last shots and images and lines of the movie were to me so profound, beautiful and cathartic that they had me shaking in my seat!

I can never forgive this show for those last 2 episodes LMAO.....I loved it the way it was presented according to my open minded morals as a romance and it wasn't put forward as anything less.... You are to witness the complexities and the very consensual, thought out and romantic nature of two complex people who fall in love and are bound up by the unjust nature of their circumstances, only for the show to flip around on you and suddenly see it be turned into a horrible abusive thing in the span of one conversation, when it's certainly not reflective of the relashionship you saw.... For that I hated the show in it making you root for a relationship that is represented as loving and honest with no malice on either part, and then force you in the span of twenty minutes to renounce anything of it and tell you that you now HAVE to believe it was horrible thing...For very closed minded individuals who have never lived in countries where sexual consent is earlier in life well I guess you will see it in another way, although keep in mind we don't always think of sex and relationships the same way around the world elsewhere from America as far as two consenting people are concerned in regards to age...The show showed an epic enthralling romance and didn't have the balls to challenge taboos and social convention and went against itself in the very end. I'm a lovesick fool and this show hurt me to my core in what it did, that's not how 'abuse, looks like, and up to the very end I was satisfied of the show if anything, breaking many taboos in society regarding sexual consent and it's legal trappings, but it seems that no, you have to make a romantic story with two great characters (and don't tell me it wasn't) and then flip it around on it's head last moment when you haven't even set it up previously, very very sad...I guess we won't even get a Season 2 to redeem it

Pretty weak.....Essentially a pornstar showing her body and trying to make some philosophy...There's nothing really deep in there folks i can tell you that...The fist quote explains a woman should be treasured and not possessed, and we are watching a person which by means of pornography is the one most guilty in the objectification of women, go figure, this is about how high this thing flies

Classic for it's time yet there are some things you have to get over, certainly some very strange decisions in the script like how you decided to marry a girl you've seen twice, and went on a date with one single time

A 'by the book' Historical Epic with so much soul. An incredible journey and one of my favorite movies of all time. It is contemplative and beautiful, it's about recovery, about how to find your own peace of mind, and deals with the ideals of old vs new i this portrayal of Japan.
