A movie without unnecessary reference to farmer, communism, central govt, social justice, against some caste, for some caste, religion reference, language fanatism bla bla wich are the prime features of Tamil films for the past 7-8 yrs -That itself is a big relief. Yeah, plot is old, story is older, but when Rajinikanth does it with the fire in his eyes (roudhram), he definitely surpasses heroes who did these plots earlier- This is my opinion, not to poke at other actors Overdose of sentiments and action, and feels long, however I felt, Overall Annathe is an old school decently made good movie that you can watch with family.
