The reality of this movie is still prevalent today..A Black woman,six children’s,on welfare,no male support..trying to survive for herself and her six children’s.This movie yet very sad also had a lot of humor as well. I could feel her (Claudine) struggles and frustration with the welfare system,and trying be consistent with each of her kids,yet at the same time needing some adult companionship...I hadn’t seen this movie in a very long while,but thoroughly enjoyed watching it again..
