Here's an honest review in 2023: Pros: - Looks great - Cars feels unique and always different - Beginner (to race games) friendly - The best intro I've seen to a game in a long time - Tells you history of each vehicle. I really love this Cons: - This has been double-nerfed and HARD. A late stealth nerf lowered winning credits to 80k (worse than ever) in a race that used to give over 250k or 350k - Single player (the most popular mode) is bad. - Uninspiring and everything feels so copy + paste. There's not even a single voiceline!!! THIS WAS A $70 GAME!!! - It's tedious, time consuming, and the music is bad remix of classical music. No, I'm not even close to exaggerating - WHY all of this? To get you to pay for microtransactions. - This is NOT SIMULATION. You always start last, in a rolling start, and the A.I. is brainteasers. Speaking of: - The A.I. will not act like drivers. I've seen 2006 games with better A.I. drivers! Here, you will be pushed or crashed if they don't all stay in their special lanes they like and most of the time, won't even pass EACH OTHER but will wreck you if you're in their line. That's like 1998 gameplay!

I love the guns in WW2 settings, so that's an auto positive from me. Other than that, there's not much I like about BF5. There's nothing that feels special, there's not much creativity, constant "buy this pack" on menu screen, and single player is HORRIBLE!!!! It literally wants you to stealth the entire game; stealth is Battlefield's biggest weakness! Always has been! Why do this??? Who do you think would enjoy this??? I've loved literally EVERY BF game, but this feels like a complete waste of time. Where does this game go wrong? Yes

AMAZING game that I'm thinking about playing even at work. That said, it should have been delayed a bit longer. This is a game that is easily 10/10; but had so many bugs at release it was a 4/10 or lower depending on how many crashes you've experienced. 2 update / patches later and it's a 7/10. I've had 4 crashes and 7 glitches. If anyone tells you this game is bad, they don't know good gaming. Only reason I'm 5* is because the hate this game has gotten (deserved, but most has been fixed in the first 2 patches)
