This movie explores relationships between Muslim parents and their daughter growing up in the west. It teaches important lessons about lack of trust and communication between parents and children. It explores the struggles of instilling Islamic and cultural values in children in America. It is really an opportunity to self reflect and assess our struggles and how to go about them, and the consequences of certain decisions. Having said that, it was hard to watch.
