This was such an amazing and funny show! It is the first time I have watched a historical Korean drama, so at first I was not sure what to expect, but I ended up loving this show. I would give it 4.5 stars, but this will not let me. I decided to watch it because the trailer looked interesting and I could tell that I would already love the main character, and I did. I loved all the characters. The acting and the plot was amazing, and it was so romantic and funny. I am not Korean, but I really loved learning about Korean history and a bit about how the culture was back then. I understand the culture and politics more now, and the set was created so beautifully. I definitely recommend this show to anyone interested in watching this!

I wish I had Anne's talent for words, because the review that I am about to write will not do this show the justice it deserves. Everything about this show was absolutely perfect. There was not one flaw. The script, the acting, the setting, the atmosphere...everything was perfectly executed. Every episode in the show has made me want to either laugh, cry, or even scream in anxiousness for what will happen next. It is just that engaging to the audience. I feel deeply for this show because it has addressed many human rights issues such as gay rights, indigenous rights, racism, and in my opinion, Anne is one of the most revolutionary feminist fictional character in the entertainment industry. Anne uses the term "kindred spirit" many times throughout the seasons, and I would strongly agree that she is my kindred spirit. She is everything that I wish to be. She is a strong female lead with a brave heart, great intelligence, and an immeasurable amount of compassion for everyone she meets. All the characters were amazing too. Gilbert Blythe and Anne Shirley-Cuthbert's romance was illustrated very well throughout the 3 seasons as well. Their romance is definitely going to continue throughout history. I cannot wait for the fourth season to come out, if there will be a fourth season. 11/10 recommend, and I can't wait to get my hands on the original book that created this show. :)

This was such a cute show!!!! I loved all the characters! The show was super funny but also the right amount of sentimental. The beginning was a bit crazy but later on it got really good. I also really loved the ending. For a show that was created in 2005, I still enjoyed watching it now, in 2020.

I really liked that for once there is South Asian Representation. I literally finished the show in 2-3 days which is pretty fast for me. I liked the comedy and as a Canadian Indian, I could definitely relate to some of her situations. The only thing that makes me go meh, is that the show really plays on stereotypes. The main character, Devi, is just another typical over-achieving, white-washed Indian nerd who doesn't fit in at school or at other brown events, participates in all sorts of clubs, plays an instrument, and wishes to get into an Ivy League School. Even though some South Asians are like this, and there is nothing wrong that, it just concerns me a bit because I grew up in a white people dominated city and if they see this, they're just going to continue to assume that all of the general Indian population is like this because they haven't been properly educated on Asian culture and not believing stereotypes. But overall, Mindy Kaling pulled through and delivered! I love her work, and those that helped create this show did an amazing job. I'm happy that there is South Asian representation in the entertainment industry. In the end of the series, I hope that Devi finally learns to navigate her way more smoothly in life and finds her true self without wanting to fit in or seek acceptance from her peers.

This was a cute short story type of series. The last episode left us with a sort of cliffhanger. It is not as long or as "in depth" and "meaningful" kind of show as the other dramas I have watched, but it was cute. It's not something I would come back to watch when the next season comes out, but it's not something I regret watching either, since it was only 6 episodes. Also, there's no extra thinking or suspense of any sort for the audience. Whatever is going to happen in the next scene or upcoming episodes is pretty obvious to viewers. You can tell exactly what's going to happen before it happens. Although I did like the energy of the main female lead. In the dramas I watch, usually the main female character is confident and stubborn, but in this show, her confidence and guts were on the next level. She was portrayed as one "of the boys," not just having some tomboy vibes.

Even though I gave 1 star after watching season 1, the actual show and plot line and actors were good. This type of show just wasn't my preference. I thought it would be a romantic comedy or something especially since Netflix said this was a 98% match for me and that's the type of drama's I watch (for example Meteor Garden, Crash Landing on You, Cinderella and the 4 Knights are my most recent ones and I totally recommend). So, the show would definitely be good if it was my type. It was a very sad and depressing vibes type of show to me, especially since most of it was focused on really dark times of the characters past, or the characters present struggles. Especially the main female character who had a tough past, has a tough present, and on top of all that there's a complicated love life with a boy who has his own parent issues. Also, the ending cliffhanger really got me and I'm so dissatisfied because everything just got more complicated and since it's not my type of show, I'm not coming back for season 2. Hope everyone has a better time watching it though.

Definitely worth watching. It was such a cute romance show. Also made me laugh at times. I also really liked that the main female character could fight for herself and wasn't portrayed as a damsel in distress when ever there was a problem. Character development was also really good throughout the show. If you want to watch a romantic comedy, this would be a good choice.

I just finished watching it. I loved the show soooooo much. The actors were perfectly chosen and really suited the characters to bring them to life. This show made me smile so much, and I am definitely going to re-watch it many times. I recently learned that it is based off of the show Boys Over Flowers, so I'm going to start that show now. 11/10 recommend :)
