I wish I had Anne's talent for words, because the review that I am about to write will not do this show the justice it deserves.
Everything about this show was absolutely perfect. There was not one flaw. The script, the acting, the setting, the atmosphere...everything was perfectly executed.
Every episode in the show has made me want to either laugh, cry, or even scream in anxiousness for what will happen next. It is just that engaging to the audience.
I feel deeply for this show because it has addressed many human rights issues such as gay rights, indigenous rights, racism, and in my opinion, Anne is one of the most revolutionary feminist fictional character in the entertainment industry.
Anne uses the term "kindred spirit" many times throughout the seasons, and I would strongly agree that she is my kindred spirit. She is everything that I wish to be. She is a strong female lead with a brave heart, great intelligence, and an immeasurable amount of compassion for everyone she meets.
All the characters were amazing too. Gilbert Blythe and Anne Shirley-Cuthbert's romance was illustrated very well throughout the 3 seasons as well. Their romance is definitely going to continue throughout history.
I cannot wait for the fourth season to come out, if there will be a fourth season.
11/10 recommend, and I can't wait to get my hands on the original book that created this show. :)
