Is this movie historically, or Biblically accurate to the Old Testament? Most will agree that it is not, but what it is I believe more than makes up (which some may disagree). It's highly ambitious to bring this story to life in cinema. The most important part of the narrative as directed and portrayed -- Abraham's inner struggle, faith, and relationship with God was excellent. To read about it is one thing. To imagine what it might have been like. But to act it out, and the emotion and relationship with his wife, an son Isaac -- very difficult.
Some have noticed the markings on Saria (later Sarah) face. In my understanding of ancient religions based on idolatry, she absolutely could have had markings on the body, including the face. Many ancient African, Polynesian, Germanic, and most tribal communities had similar markings.
Important to understand that a movie is a story being told through the eyes of another storyteller. Excellent movie. Would recommend.
