There's a lot of people who's main critique of this book is that it drags on. I could not agree less. The whole point of a mystery book, especially one of murder mystery, is for there to be suspense and I believe this book delivers. And the cliff hangers just make you want to read on more.
Definitely keep on reading if you have just passed through book 1, as I've found book 2 and 3 bring a lot more action and drag you futher in. I couldn't manage to put the books down for the life of me, especially book 3. More begins to pick up and the puzzle pieces start coming to together, it is so satisfying to finally find each and everything's placement.
The only thing keeping me from giving this a 5 star rating is the honestly creepy romance between (SPOILER) Stevie and David. It weirded me out since the beginning and it doesn't honestly feel quite right.
But still, would recommend this to you if you're interested! In fact, having been recommending the hell out of it to my friends. The ending is so worth it, especially the way it circles back to moose. It's always the moose, and that made me smile
