#SPOILER"S:
Really enjoyed the performance of the young lead. Didn't have to see how they ended up, washed ashore on the Island, not hard to use your imagination, with the hints that were given. # The creature was a little like 'Creature from the black lagoon & the Predator I agree, but did anyone notice it's hooves? (Goat or Horse feet). The scene in the raft with the blood, again was left to your imagination, # did they eat fish or their friend. The other actor's only had small parts, so I forgave their poor acting, over the fact it was a small budget film. The end I thought was believable, in that, she was presented as a street smart & clever woman, who was probably dealing with persecution & not always taken seriously in her past. At the end of the film, she was extremely clever, # in setting up her traps & defeating the beast. The only thing possibly left out of the film, that kept niggling at me, was why she didn't go & see, during the day, what was in the interior of the island. Even though # the beast could walk, it still would of struggled to find her in that terrain & we didn't come to know, how long it could stay out of the water. And with the knowledge that the beast, # only came out at at night, she had plenty of time to see, if there was an escape route. And the title name of the film, for mine, was a metaphor for who she was at heart. Overall, an enjoyable film for mine.
