As a John Wayne fan, it’s a fine send off to his westerns, maybe not as action packed as he’s obviously older and towards the end of his life, both in character and personally. Watched it for the first time, and I loved it. Very sad that his last film was the year I was born. My all time favourite film is The Quiet Man. Recommended watch if you like an old western. Great to see James Stewart (It’s a Wonderful Life is another favourite of mine!) as a supporting co-star. Watch it, only after you’ve seen a few of the elder westerns, you’ll appreciate it a lot more.
