If you enjoyed Squid Game, then the chances are that you'll enjoy this also. Right now I'm just hoping that they will make a season two.

I know it is a few years old now, but gave it a "look-see" because I've watched pretty much every other Sci Fi series on Amazon Prime. So I just binge watched this series in one day, YES all 11 episodes.. A great show, fairly fast paced and well acted. A few largish plot holes but I can forgive those with ease. What a great pity that the show wasn't renewed for a second season. There was definitely more to tell here. But cutting stories as short as one or two seasons seems to be the plague of our times. Thankfully season one ends nicely rounded off with out too many precursors for a non existent season two.

Ultimately very disappointing if this doesn't make it to a second season, because there should be a conclusion where the loop is explained as to its existence. The viewer is left to wonder at the scenery and technology which seems to be stuck in the 1950's on one level, but is also a futuristic version of that era. The viewer is told that loop is built around a mysterious object and very little else is revealed, although you do get the impression that perhaps this piece of reality could fold in on itself and blink out of existence if the loop technology is improperly maintained. The rough way in which the final episode ties up Jakob's story arc tends to imply that there won't be a season 2. I'm left to ask why I should invest my time watching anything when it becomes the norm to cancel after one season without a decent conclusion.

Recently discovered OA on Netflix and binged both series 1 and 2. Great storyline and generally a high standard of production quality. But, OH DAMN was I disappointed that they cancelled season 3. Listen Netflix, if you continue to cancel everything after two seasons then people will become wary and not bother investing their time in any show that meets the same fate after such a short run.

No big Hollywood budget here, just one more of those cheapo type sci fi dramas most of us avoid like the plague on cable TV. At more than one point we see a small group of guys in GI uniform on the ground, fire machine guns at a UFO in low earth orbit. Yes, it is that kind of film and they represent the whole of the US army in retaliation against possible Alien attack. (no expense spared) I laughed, but only the first time this appeared on screen. The majority of the film is presented as a series of News interviews rather than an actual drama played out before us. Sadly the Human/Android hybrid costumes look like something the wardrobe department bought from Ikea and glued to an old wetsuit. The plot is like something from the 60's or 70's at a push and the final outcome exposes some plot holes that are not only shockingly bad but hilariously funny, because nobody else in film even notices something that is glaringly obvious. (I won't spoil it for you)) To be honest, I wish I hadn't wasted my time on this film, there must be something better out there, with a real budget and half decent storyline.

No spoilers as far as the story goes, but... If you're looking for a Sci Fi movie, look somewhere else. This is some kind of Art House movie with a very small budget. Sam Walden is very a very unlikable character who swans about and acts like someone who is somewhere on the spectrum in the way she relates to her co star. Don't waste your time watching this depressing film, the plot would fit on a postage stamp and has been done better elsewhere.

R.I.P Rutger, you'll be sorely missed. As for this movie, I actually enjoyed it and found it to be very amusing.
