Let’s be so honest w ourselves. The one star reviews are filled with angry adults that think the show sucks because of casting and details left out. While reading this review, keep in mind that I finished all the PJO books. Leah is a fantastic annabeth. Point blank period. People are mad about the Mrs. Dodds fight being left out and the fact that Grover doesn’t have crutches. DOES IT MATTER??? We still understand the plot and the fact that Annabeth isn’t blonde and white “takes away” from the fact that she needs to prove she’s not a dumb blonde? Okay…if anything Leah being a WOC adds to the fact that people underestimate her and she needs to prove her place so that logic is flawed to the max ?? Harry Potter didn’t have every single detail from the books into those movies and it was still loved by fans WORLDWIDE, non-readers and readers alike. Honestly, the only reason people don’t like this show is because Annabeth doesn’t fit their views as if Percy wasn’t supposed to have dark hair anyways and Grover wasn’t supposed to literally be a redhead that looked 35 years old. The show is great and if it doesn’t get renewed for a S2-S5 or wtv, the world is rigged. Seriously.

This movie is actually good. People only hate on it because it’s Addison Rae. Even her performance on the movie was really good. What could’ve been better was some facial expressions and even then those were just a two-time thing. On a scale from 1-10, I rate this movie a solid 8 and I would definitely watch again.

Speaking as a non-professional movie critic and just a casual viewer watching from HBO MAX on my bed, This movie is a solid 7.9/10 for me There were many funny moments where I found myself smiling or laughing at the screen and many sad moments where I felt myself putting the characters while also feeling myself tear up a bit. The reason why I didn’t give it a 10/10 is just because I got bored of some scenes and they just didn’t pull me in enough to get me staring at my screen non-stop. But everyone is different and likes different things. Again, I’m not a movie critic AT ALL but I personally feel like this is a movie where you can go on your phone every now and then but still know what’s going on.
