I enjoyed it greatly. It is the only Murakami I have read and it encouraged me to read more. The text just flowed and carried me along and its use of language, expressions and words was interesting. It read as though it had been written by a western author with nothing in its style or content that was 'incomprehensibly oriental': a tribute to the translators/editors or a sign that not all oriental culture is incomprehensible or even difficult?
