Read the other positive reviews that describe the film. They were excellent. Yes, I laughed out loud, especially when I could see what was coming next, as our hero (a bumbling nonwriter who fell haplessly in the job for love) had to rewrite his script to satisfy opposing power and life conditions of each character in order to move forward for a future that would save his project and let it (and his own prospects for peace snd happiness) live for another season. He grows into a poet and gives us a brilliant film, by listening to the voices of the characters. The film clearly states the position that things and peoples must and can change in Israel to accommodate people with rigid opposing viewpoints but common value and humanity. This is a rare film in which Israelis and Palestinians characters are presented with underlying truth. And we love them all. As we laugh at ourselves with tears in our hearts.
