I really love this movie, it gives Rudolph more a chance than the puppet stop-motion animation.
Spoilers below******
In the Good time Entertainment version; Santa, and his family support him. In the puppet version his father seems to hate him and Santa out right says he can't be apart of the team because of his glowing red nose. In both versions his love interest supports him, and he gains friends outside of his home.
End of spoilers**************************
The hand drawn animations are beautiful and songs in this movie are memorable. Even as an adult, I still watch this movie every Christmas.
As for the lovers of the motion-stop puppet animation I know a lot of work went into it, and that movies like that are often marvels of their time. The songs in it are also memorable. I just feel that the Good times entertainment version is more accepting of differences whether your a human or a reindeer.
Thank you for reading; hope this helps and sorry if it was boring.
