Spoiler 🚨 Alert Spoiler 🚨 Alert
I mark a film by beginning, middle & the end
The opening scene, was lacking the Bond music we all associate with Bond and the eyeball shot not going red should of been a marker in the sand if what was to come. You could really of ramped up the John Barry music knowing it was Daniels last outing.
Beginning: The opening scenes were spectacular, something you come to expect and the producers & directors didn’t let the gauntlet drop here’s - absolutely fabulous, especially the car chases.
Middle: What was that all about? You would need a slide rule & a set of charts to work out what was going on, too much deviation from the story, here there and everywhere, I was totally lost.
End: Well, that was brilliant, everything you come to expect from Bond, right real edge of the seat stuff, will he make it, won’t he make it ?
Fair to say that’s the end of a few well known characters - Bloefeld, you’ve been part of my growing up that iconic phrase “Goodbye Mr Bond” Felix Lighter & Commander Bond all deceased - whoever fills his boots unless of the same surname they can’t call him James Bond…..
As usual some great one liners, especially the scene with the new alleged 007 & her syrup..
2hrs 40m was a tad long, would I rush back to see it, no, it’s not in the same league as Casino Royale, Skyfall or Spectre or day I say it some of the earlier outings.
