Wasn't a bad movie. Could have done with a few less songs. Almost checked out in the first 20 minutes when they finished song number 3(?) and went almost directly into song number 4.
**spoilers**
Honestly, I wanted to see more exploration of the villain's motivations. It's mentioned that his family was killed years ago. That seems kinda sympathetic. But then they're like "Nope, the guy is just evil because reasons, and there's no coming back from it ever."
Even his wife, the queen, who seems to genuinely adore him for much of the film, ends up tossing her husband in the dungeon with a sassy smile on her face.
So not the deepest movie, but you know. It has its moments.
