Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays a stereotypical PI complete with associated baggage including the obligatory drinking problem, and a character study seemingly based on James Belushi in “Gang Related” right down to the fedora. A reasonably tight though average script, no glaringly obvious holes with picturesque scenery but the saving grace, JGL’s acting, as always at the top of his game with a stellar supporting cast. A solid three.
