Just finished the campaign of cod mw. This review is just to acknowledge the tremendous amount of work put in by the Infinity ward. After a long time a campaign worth playing.
To begin with the positive side is the realistic weapon mechanics and sounds. You can hear the empty bullet casing drop if you have a decent headphone. The level design is very good and dynamic. But this is not the thing I am here to tell about. This is mainly about some emotional moments created right in the middle of the battlefield. Mission design is really creative and provided some intense fightings. A very good comeback to the root of cod and felt like something truely related to cod mw series. Specially highway of death and hometown, these two missions just seemed awesome to me. Very good work indeed.
On the negative side, the ending could have been nail biting like other mw's. I will always miss all ghillied up, no russian, on shot one kill, cliffhanger missions. They need to put such kind of touch in the future installments. The story did not had much of a depth. Tried to depict the crisis going on in middle east but only vaguely. Playable characters and npcs could have been more emotionally attached. But definitely bought some new touch to the game which helped to overlook the issues stated earlier.
Overall 8.5/10.
