Meh I'm 16 hours in and haven't decided if I'll continue. I'm teetering. Coming off the very short outer worlds and still engrossed in the very big, very open, very long revamp of fallout 4, I just feel like it lacks any real heart. And too much dialogue, and that's coming from a big Divinity 2 and Baldurs Gate III fan. It also is unclear what I'm doing many times. Like what's the point again? There's a ton of potential like many other 1-2-3 Star reviews say. It's just meh. As with many others I was hoping for next level GTA crosses with Witcher. It is a pretty game for sure. Lots of interesting elements. I started and never been playing on hard. It's not hard at all. I was unaware of all the hype. Big sci-fi and cyberpunk fan. Gibson forever!

World building at it's finest. As a hard core sci fi reader, this is the show I've been waiting for. It's not perfect, but it's a stand out in terms of creating an actual alien world where the aliens aren't just bipeds with human bodies but a different head or face. So creative, feels really alien, with alien construct and "rules" of the world that are consistent throughout. The characters are great too. Really an A+ show, nothing like it.

An amazingly unique and substantive game. 8 years later, nothing quite like it. And the sequel was just nothing close to this original. Being out at night in this game was genuinely scary, genuinely a bad idea, and made the game intense on a level unmatched by almost any other. The complexity was perfect, the difficulty scaling excellent, and the expansion packs significant. Put this one down as one of the very very best, on any console, of any generation, in any category.

One of the most meaningful pieces of media I've ever "consumed". An unbelievable experience, particularly because I went in virtually blind to the story or even the general zombie idea. I'll never get an experience like it again I'm afraid.

An almost perfect game, even though it's far from perfect. Just an incredible experience- especially played co-op with a loved one. We have just loved, loved the game. 300 hours in, about 2/3 the way into our second play through, and the game still feels fresh.

I'm a moderately skilled gamer. I'm not a noob, but I'm certainly no streamer. My biggest gripe about this game (which I preordered and was so excited about) is it's just much, much too easy. Even playing with a partner who is virtually new to gaming, it was so easy I was bored by level 10. We made it to 30 and I quit forever. And there's no way to make it harder. With some games going to a harder level makes it too hard but at least you have the option. The two options are a joke. And I'm not going to spend all the time to get to level "whatever" to then start playing the content that's actually hard (as some have suggested in forums to others). Such a disappointment. We are so bummed.

There are more holes in this plot than in a basketball net. Anyone who is serious about sci-fi and not just about special effects can't possible take this seriously. Devastatingly disappointed after much anticipation. And- the sound is horrible- voices even on premium, 5.2 is horrible.

HUGE fan of the original. Hundreds of hours playing it. Pre-ordered this. I suffered through the first 2+ weeks of unplayable glitches by messing around and just getting a feel for the mechanics. It was beyond frustrating. Then, once I was convinced it was mostly fixed, I played a couple more weeks open world. By the time I got to actually play the story without any glitches, I had already lost the main thread of what was going on (audio issues ruined much of the beginning). The final boss is so silly and feels like pointless repetition and just absolutely ridiculous in the context of the rest of the game. I also was already at such a high level that it was very easy, no challenge, to do the story and the final parts. I wouldn't have been, had I not had to wait so long for a complete game to be ready- also, no scaling for the main story is so silly! I am not a good gamer. Very casual and only play during the winter months. I found the main story extremely easy and not compelling. I would end up skipping dialogue and it felt like suffering to play. The open world is good, there are fun parts and I can mess around for an hour here or there while I'm killing time. I do look forward to playing for short stints but then I get bored. I find myself getting bored a lot sooner than with the original game. It also is just so much easier than the original game, even on hard, and this also makes it less scary, which also makes it feel a little bit more hokey. I was TERRIFIED to be out at night in the original, as were most. Now, I won't even bother playing during the day because it's boring. I play exactly ZERO other games on a hard setting, and often err towards easy settings! Also, no guns? That at first felt strange in the original game, but I ended up loving it. This loss is NOT made up by the paraglider, and the grapple is worse. Ugh. The physics are good and it's a good/ok game, but I would never pre-order again, NEVER again, and it's just not up to the level that I expect from the franchise. If there's a DL3, I'll wait 6-12 months and get it on sale with low expectations.
