Great game, but secondary players aren't given the full experience a main player does.
I must say, I've been a fan of the series and was not disappointed with New Horizons. The game was relaxing and was a great way to kill time and have fun. The game succeeded in becoming what the original developer aspired it to be, a game helping stop loneliness. I am able to play the game how I want to. I am capable of having my way of fun. However, there are flaws revolving around the secondary player's experience.
As a secondary player, gameplay is extremely limited. You would think that in a game that highly advertises its multiplayer gameplay, it would make sure that secondary players have the same experience as the main player. In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you aren't really allowed to help progress the island, it feels like you're only there for your personal experience, not the island's.
If you are thinking of getting the game, I would recommend only playing as the main player and not going for the multiplayer. However, the game is super fun and I would definitely recommend it.
