I am an ardent fan of the Repair Shop ever since it started. I worked in engineering all my life and met some very skilled people of all trades. The specialists who work on this programme have my utmost respect for their skill and love of their chosen subjects, and the skill they possess in other fields. the sheer joy on their faces when they have completed their tasks is overwhelming sometimes. In this time of throw away mentality it is gratifying to know that there are still a lot of people who possess these skills, and can 'rebuild' the memories of these families who own these precious items that people hold so dear.
