I want to get this out of the way: It probably didn't deserve an MA rating, giving, other than some cussin', there really wasn't much to objectionable, a TV 14 rating probably would have been fine. Since I want to get the ugly out of the way, the swipe towards Republicans toward the end was kind of stupid and added nothing to the story. Anyway, overall, I did like it. It is true that millenials are kind of sheltered from a lot of things. They're raised by parents that are a weird mix of overly protective and overly permissive. I can sympathise with student debt and having a hard time finding a job, but going to a festival because it will allegedly feature scantily clad women and Ja rule (whom I'm not a fan of anyway) seems like a terrible way to escape that. It was pretty good, other than things that made no difference on the story. I did have trouble sympathising with the kids that went to it, but, they still had someone commit fraud against them (quite possibly hundreds of people, including Ja Rule). It's hard for me to feel bad for these kids (coming from a poverty level background), but, at the same time, given the evidence I've seen against Mcfarland, he deserves a lot longer than the six years he was sentenced. I'm a little bit curious what more his girlfriend knows. I do recommend, but with caveats I've already mention.
