It wasn’t completely terrible, but it wasn’t great. It’s never as good as the first time! The original was much more funnier and there was much more of a connection amongst the characters. This new version lacked feeling or something. My favorite song is “Be Prepared,” Scar didn’t sing it in this version!!! He presented it as if it was a speech; I was so disappointed. I agree with another commentator who said Scar was “watered down.” YES, he was! Scar was intelligent, manipulative, and evil. This version didn’t do justice to his character. And don’t get me started on the hyenas, there was hardly any humor amongst them. I also didn’t like some of the added lines. I knew some things would change but the wrong things were changed. The new film is beautiful aesthetically but, it lacks many of the wonderful details of the original.
