Dinara Safina

I regretfully watched this movie the other night and yikes. Every character was completely unlikable.I give Nina an excuse because her father was abusing her, but the other characters do not get a pass. Dot pretends to be deaf, (Which apparently her father was okay with!) the mom is completely oblivious and passed out all the time, and the basketball player turns out to be a complete creep who is obsessed with his own dick, yet Dot still chooses to sleep with him. Then there's Nina's best friend who I loathed from the get go. I kept hoping the movie would turn into horror and Michael Myers would come out and slash her. At least with the basketball player, I started out liking him. It gets 2 stars for Edie Falco being amazing in anything, but that's it.
