The hate for this game is just ridiculous. The characters are complex, and the story is brutal and bleak - and that’s what makes it so damn good. I loved the first game because of its story driven nature, and TLOU2’s story is even stronger. It shows what happens to humanity when people make selfish decisions, and make decisions that are driven by hate and revenge. There are real consequences when this happens. Ultimately if you need the world to be dumbed down for you to be a simple “good guys” vs “bad guys” narrative, then this game won’t be for you. If you want to stereotype women and you automatically think that muscular women must be trans or gay, then don’t buy this game and then spew hate online about it. This is an emotionally draining and challenging game. But it’s absolute genius and deserves to be recognised as one of the greatest games ever made.
