Campier than the original, with a script that feels half baked. The cast is excellent, especially the lovable Chris Pine, but even this top notch cast can’t make up for a half baked script littered with plot holes and unmotivated moments. Sometimes the campiness can be fun and nostalgic particularly for fans of comic book, but other times it feels a bit cringe worthy. The comedic moments, visuals and solid acting makes this movie still enjoyable, but I doubt this film will make my rewatch list.
