This show was a hilariously funny show for kids to watch. Not scary at all and sometimes informative in a Mutual Of Omaha's Wild Kingdon way. The funny thing is that, there was subtle adult humour in parts of the show. As an adult, if you can laugh at the drug humour of Cheech and Chong movies, you'll get a laugh out of this as it really represents the era from which it came: The Psychedelic 70's. Billy Van, who played at least 50% of the parts in the skits, was a genius! With Superman sporting an afro, an oracle who tries to be funny, a witch who is an absolute klutz and my favorite, The Wolfman, reminiscent of Wolfman Jack who spins tunes from fake phone in requests in the castle basement radio station (call letters EECH!) and a host of other characters in short skits, it was my favorite TV show as a young child. I joke to my friends that it was a hippy plot to keep the music around forever by drilling it into the kids brains for a few years! Great memories!
