Tiny Thanos

Hamfisted story tropes make the already kinda bland (albeit clever, it's really neat for a while but gets boring) gameplay feel less rewarding. Pretty good game, definitely deserving of its typical 80-ish% rating. Like Steam Awards 2019 said, it's soap opera level dramatic. I find the super powers in this supposedly "darkest time in history" less historic than the descriptions may lead one to think. All-in-all if you're not a fan of repetitiveness, watch a Let's Play. If you're not a fan of vague fantasy mixed with relative historic themes, maybe steer away. I personally enjoyed the game, despite the aforementioned flaws. Really though, watching it is a strong recommendation if you don't have patience for drawn out, very easy (other than that waiting) puzzle-y stealth segments.

Basically a flashier, clunkier Kingdom Hearts 2 where all the important stuff happens off screen so Disney can shove their IP in your face more.

Peace Walker is a coming together of the madness from MGS2 and the silliness of MGS3. It works beautifully, with another colourful cast to guide you. Everything from a pacifist caught up in a war to a scientist obsessed with Naked Snake's mentor. The graphic novel style cutscenes are not something everyone will like, but they're very well made. You watch Naked Snake become Big Boss ten years after the events of Snake Eater. With fun gameplay and micromanagement that can take hours of your time, it's my personal favourite Metal Gear game.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is something akin to a love letter written at gunpoint. If you're a fan of MGS and don't mind the pandering, this game will be something you adore. If you're not a fan of excessive fanservice, however, this game may not be something you enjoy all that much. Gameplay's superb, being the predecessor to Ground Zeroes and all. This game holds a world record for longest cutscene, so you can bet that there's hours upon hours of your controller being sat aside... especially toward the end.

A chilling story speaking of the future of technology as told by Kojima and his team of writers. With memes at the center of the game's theme, it focuses heavily on ideology vs. the genetic focus of Metal Gear Solid itself. Though many of the scenes and much of the madness to be had in this game can easily miss its mark, it makes up for it with an absolutely mind-blowing ending, albeit complex in its ways. The gameplay isn't half bad for its time neither.

Definitely not a game for everyone, inFAMOUS 2 is a fairly direct sequel to inFAMOUS. It smooths out many of the spotty mechanics in inFAMOUS as well. The choices are still just about equally worthless, though. The final choice mechanic is fairly annoying as you have to be heavily aligned to even begin the mission... meaning if you agree with the bad guys after being a good guy... good luck with becoming the most hated man on the planet BEFORE doing the mission.
