From cringe-worthy fight scenes to laughable dialogue, this movie is a road to nowhere. McGregor's attempt at acting is as painful as watching him try to act humble after a UFC win. Gyllenhaal, usually a reliable actor, seems lost in this train wreck of a script. Don't waste your time or money on this dumpster film with a nonsensical plot filled with more clichés than a dollar store discount bin. Gyllenhaal's wooden acting and McGregor's awkward attempts at emoting make for a cringe-worthy experience, while the action sequences are so poorly choreographed that they're more likely to induce laughter than suspense. With a script that seems to have been written by a group of intoxicated monkeys banging on typewriters, Road House is a film that will leave you questioning your life choices and desperately searching for the nearest exit.
