Game of Thrones season 8 review:
I am just here to review the last season, 4 out of 5. The other 7 seasons deserve 5 out of 5. Spoiler ahead!!
So what happened actually on season 8? Why people rated it 5 or 6 in IMDB? I read couple of reviews saying it didn’t meet the expectations! Oh come on! The Game of Thrones isn’t Game of Thrones by meeting everyone's expectations. I rated the S08 4 out 5 less than my other seasons rating for a couple of good reasons. It seemed that this season lacked content to fill out the gap and rushed some important sequences. Apart from that, the season ending seems reasonable to me. I mean you can't expect Dany to be queen after making such huge mess. Again people astonished why Dany had become such terror. To me, it seemed she was just going with the flow. Power and vengeance are two of the greatest things that can turn people to monster. She had the power to destroy a city to take her revenge. Her blood is fire and you can't expect her to behave like a cat against the cruel lions! People also argued about Jon's actions where the city was burning to ashes. Oh come on! What can he do?? He did what he can and that's why he took the chance of his action by killing her. You can't expect to write a story where king Jon and queen Dany runs the country happily, lol. This is not a bollywood romance film. Jon went where he belonged truely, Sansa got her reward and became a Queen for being the cockroach in her past who survived all odds by being a cockroach but she learned a great deal from her past survival journey and became a witty smart person! The foolish brave doesn’t live long and that is the true reality in the world! Arya was adventurer and she went to explore the world. People had also questioned the ending of Cersie who was such impregnable but how can she stood still while her empire was burning. Follow closely, cersie took every measures to defeat dany. She installed scorpion at every corner of her city wall and her ships. What can she do more? Capture dragon and fly elsewhere? She was so much obsessed with the crown that she was not able to accept the fact the she could turn to ashes at last. Her self-obsession and envy made her became blind completely. This seemed more realistic to me according to her character.
And lastly Bran became the king because he is the knowledge and no skill is more precious than knowledge!
What ending is more reasonable than this??!
