Aesthetically, the movie is great. Nothing wrong there. However in almost every other department this film fails completely. It lacks any sort of interesting plot or conflict, the characters are neither dynamic or developed. The protagonist starts off as an angsty teen who likes to skate, and ends up the exact same. The editing is awful. I'm not sure if it's an attempt to appear as some sort of vague art form, but it comes off as sloppy craftsmanship. There are numerous shots where a character will be in the middle of a dialogue and the camera abruptly change shots while the character continues to talk, even at times changing to shots where the very same character isn't talking. Speaking of dialogue, a lot of the time you can't actually understand what the characters are saying because they're either mumbling them or because other noises in the shot will drown them out. The film also adds a lot of unnecessary details to do what I assume is an attempt to appear more realistic. But in actuality, it just adds random and useless dialogue that neither develops plot or characters. To be enjoyable, this movie would either need to be a little bit worse, or a whole lot better.
