increase in minimum wages may not impact employment opportunity adversely but presence of migrant workers reduce the wage to certain extent. the preference for migrant workers is for the reason that they get 10 to 20 percent less wage and produce 10 to 20 percent more and so effectively they are at least 25to 30 percent cheaper.
