I have watched several "big box" movies over past few weeks and I can honestly say that "Life Itself" has been the bar from which I have begun judging other movies. It is true that one does not need to cry to feel that a movie is worthy, but tragedy and beauty mingled so superbly. The beginning was a little confusing and I have urged friends who could not wait through the first chapter to retry and they have agreed. Well acted, great dialogue and music was definitely a through back to Boomers and their older offspring ( now in their late 30's/early 40's) with Bob
Dylan and Garth Brooks making the recurring song theme one with which we have all related.
