This film was very disappointing. It felt as though the writer wanted to squeeze every shameful historical episode into this one story. Sadly, the plot had many unbelievable, ridiculous moments that detracted from the very fine acting of all cast members. There was simply too much information that could have been easily divided into 5 distinct films. The greatest writers and directors do not hammer the viewer over the head with every racist, stereotypical description out there.
