It took me a while to sit down and watch it, but I'm really glad I did. Jeff Daniels is excellent as a villain, a role I don't think I've seen him in before. Much of the rest of the cast is also solid or almost as good. Lots of classic and modern sensibility elements kept every episode interesting as it progresses to its finale which was worthy of the build up with a moving and highly satisfying conclusion. Throughout I kept thinking that my late father who loved westerns would have loved it. It left me wanting a second season, not because of loose ends, but because it was so compelling that I want to know what happens next in these captivating characters lives.
