Argh...not a science fiction or even a horror movie. Just a tear-jerker thinly disguised as action. The aliens could have been starving wolves and would have made no difference Aliens had no technology? They just are meteors until they fall to a habitable world? They only target Manhattan? None of the other boroughs? Bring down bridges traps them? What about the holland tunnel, etc. Proper ending would have been to nuke Manhattan This movie had no beginning or end. The aliens were just props for a sad tale of 2 unremarkable people. Reminded me of Marvel's the Avengers, without the Avengers. Need "Hulk smash! The cat was an alien.

Very good. Ending is authentic and true to Bushido code. They were so grateful to become samurai again and to die with honor.

Awesome movie. Groundbreaking. They did so much with the (now) primitive tools at hand. Who doesn't wonder what actually goes in in your computer?

Galaxy Quest was better. Nuff said
