This movie is akin to experiencing a drug-induced mind trip.
It makes almost no sense and I honestly believe the writer and director must have been high when making this movie.
SPOILERS BELOW
This movie has a random talking animal, gigantic featureless people that screech at the sky, a plot that's driven by an old king who doesn't want to fight his own battles, and the king's nephew who to prove himself "fights" a mystical tree-man that doesn't die.
Mind you, the whole reason mystical tree-man even shows up to challenge the king to a fight is because the king's sister and protagonist's mother (both the king's sister and nephew are not even of the same ethnicity as the king himself) summons it through a ritual.
And finally after the protagonist sees his future just before his death, a future were nepotism is all you need to rule, regardless of how irresponsible, reckless, cowardly, and pathetic of a ruler he may be.. dies before said future even comes to pass.
ULTIMATELY, you're better of taking an acid trip.
