You truly can't make this stuff up in this movie! Aside from all of the name calling and finger pointing behavior that "the internet" today seems to be so accustomed to, this story is definitely one for the history books! It's a gripping documentary of a family who went through such a traumatic experience that I am amazed that they, not only survived to tell about it, but also, were WILLING to share! While watching the documentary I think it is especially important to remember that this story takes place in a COMPLETELY different time, almost 50 years ago (a half century), where, like the FBI agent says, the word 'pedophile' had never even been used before. He wasn't even able to say for sure that the word could be found in the dictionary at that time! That would have definitely played it's part in allowing a predator to so easily creep his way into a family and victimize them. This story has so many layers to it, so many twists and turns, that you spend a good portion of the time with your jaw literally dropping in shock and disbelief! There is no doubt, after watching this story, that it would be beyond difficult, to locate individuals today who are anywhere near as gullible as those seen in this story. This is a definite must see for anyone who enjoys a good documentary. But, note to self, there are definitely parts in there that are difficult to digest and tough to imagine. This is definitely not a story for the faint at heart!
