Definitely not as bad as most reviewers claim and also not outstanding as the automated reviews quote... It felt more like Jailer sequel, could have focused more on screen play and story... Lots of logical mistakes but nevertheless didn't get bored....

I thought this was a good attempt except for climax phase which got a little boring.... It's good to see someone attempt an unusual theme. It keeps you hooked to the seats for the most part.... Perhaps a little more focus on climax would have made it a blockbuster...

I was bit skeptical about the movie after watching reviews and few spoilers shared by friends...However, trust me, the movie was absolutely good. Storyline may be outdated but the way movie is carried by Vijay is unmatchable. Surprisingly there is good screen space for support actors and bit of comedy works... BGM is pretty good and there were atleast 4-5 whistle moments.... Matta and opening songs are good....Venkat Prabhu knows the pulse of audience.... I never got bored at any moment....Villain could have been more formidable.... Am not a die hard Vijay fan but I can safely say this is his best movie after Mersal.... Cheers to Thalapathy...

A full length comedy movie which you will enjoy thoroughly.... The scene where Robo Shankar is enquired about the 500 Cr wealth is million dollar comedy track .... Loved it.....

Masterpiece, loved it... Great comeback by Maniratnam...

Brilliant movie. Takes time to up the pace, but once it gets going, it becomes an edge of the seat thriller. Practical story with no cinematic influence. Enjoyed...
