Really good movie! Didn't feel like 3 1/2 hours. Was it his best movie? No. However, it really gives you insight into what was going on at the time.

I walked out of the theater after one of his sons started hanging out with the whale. The plot made sense in the beginning. He has a family, leads the tribe. Then the evil humans come back. However, Jake randomly decides to resign as leader and then runs away to another clan. This new clan lives in a water environment. Of course they don't accept them at the start. In the first movie you understand the characters and how their interests effect their actions. There's a buildup towards the arch of the story. This one was bad. Felt like some alien fantasy with no direction. The whole time I was thinking where is this going?

Always a pleasure to see Adam Sandler back at it. However, the amount of anxiety I felt from watching this movie made me want to leave. There were some funny moments. Overall it just made me uncomfortable because of the intense camera movement and the reckless nature of Adam's character.
