I didn't know anything about Taylor Swift other than her name and a few tidbits of media splash over the years. I was really drawn to this documentary for some reason and I'm so glad watched it! I'm a 50 year old mom of 3 "millennials"(2 boys/1 girl) and I am proud of Taylor like she is one of my own kids. What an amazing young woman!! She is so incredibly smart, strong, focused and driven. She is an excellent role model for future generations of women! I'm sorry to see that the negativity towards her in some of these reviews is seemingly coming from people who either disagree with her political opinion or feel she shouldn't have one, and therefore are part of what she's speaking out against. Women who hold up the patriarchy are the same as the patriarchy. Taylor, and all other celebrities, are people, citizens and voters just like the rest of us. Their voices matter and using their celebrity platform to speak out against hate, inequality, sexual assault, etc is their RIGHT as well as the right thing to do. This documentary wasn't even about her political opinions, though that seems to be a focal point for many. It was about her. Her life. Her struggles. Her mind. Her heart. Her music. It is a reflection of her soul and it was excellent!! I was flat out amazed at her songwriting and how it just flows from the things she's experienced, learned and felt. It's raw and real, and that's what makes her music so good. I really enjoyed getting to know this talented, smart and thoughtful young woman. And I love her mom too. Great job on this documentary ladies!! #MissAmericana #TaylorSwift
