Sorry, this doesn't have the magic of the original. Recent death of the Mother and a heartbroken Father doesn't give the same atmosphere... The original was hopeful and fantastic, this is darker and less engaging. Plus, not one song that would stick with you past the end of the singing of it and Emily Blunt (who I love in almost anything) plays Mary with almost no joy.
My advice watch the first 10-15mins until after the bath scene, which is the only decent bit and then go out to watch Aquaman.
