It brought me back to my childhood … not in the Bronx but in Brooklyn… The characters and stories are similar to the ones that shaped my life…When I was younger, I only had West Side Story to show a small part of my Boricua experience… but In the Heights genuinely reflects so many nuances and aspects that are often missed in today’s cinema and musical true to this Latinas experience.
