As a member of the LDS church I was shocked to see how misrepresented the doctrine and even policies of the church were portrayed. This is obviously an anti-religion movie with particular focus on Mormons which are so often misrepresented in media. I recently learned that movies and showed that portray Mormons in a negative light earn on average 2X more revenue for studios. So it is easy to see why we are picked on. It is sad how everyone is misinformed in these ways. On top of all that it is dialog heavy and slow. Acting is good but doesn’t make the slow dialog worth.

Not true to JRR Tolkien's world combined with poor casting, acting and writing. But the sets are epic.

Terribly written plot is just the first problem. My two girls and wife stopped watching before the end.
