Entertaining movie, overall. One quick criticism (and possible small spoiler alert). Ellen Barkin plays a very moralistic district attorney. She then engages in a sexual relationship with Dennis Quaid's character. However, she neglects to mention this to the presiding judge, while she is prosecuting against Quaid in his corruption trial. I would call that a huge conflict of interest.

The movie, while entertaining, grossly exaggerates the supposed "white nationalism" problem in America. To someone living in another country, after watching this film, one would think there is a Klansman around every corner. Utter nonsense! Just a movie, folks, along with a writer with a deluded imagination. With that said, Toni Collette is awesome, as usual.

An excellent libertarian movie, because it exposed the Military Industrial Complex. The beautiful Carla Gugino was excellent in her role.

A libertarian perspective: This film highlights the gross incompetence of the police in the town. Despite the efforts of the lone female on the force, portrayed by the lovely, Emmy Rossum, the bungling key stone cops were always two deeps behind, as the corpses piled up. Flawed but still enjoyable romp.
