The antagonists were the haters and the vampires. I wish a clearer distinction had been been early in the movie. Yet, it became clear in the end.
We watched characters emerge that participated in the Juke- Joint coming to furition.
While undertones of christianity and paganism existed as a means of protecting characters against harm.
I think this film had a powerful religious message. I asked, "Who are the Sinners"?
For me, the scriptures say "Anyone who makes, transports,
shelves, sells, buys, uses, or assist in the distribution of alcohol is commeting a sin."
The film included heroic sins.
Yet, there are always heros that get away.
But in this film ,Did any one really get away?
I wish the ending was like Tyler Perry's series, (The Have and Have Nots )
Even, the old Zommie's horror movie with Vincent Price ;
Spared No One.
*Spoiler Alert*****************
It appears all those ppl were "Sinners" that turned into vampires and burnt.

The visual cinematic scene which merged modern musicians, old southern, ancient African, and Asian dancers summed up the entire plot 's theme.
I will watch again.
